GEORGE AND ELIZABETH REITZ HERGENRADER

George HERGENRADER was the second child of 4 children born to Johannes George and Ana Marie (EIRICK) HERGENRADER.  He was born 20 September 1876 in Kukus, Russia and died 4 June 1947 in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.  George married on 1 June 1901 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois to Elizabeth REITZ, the eldest child of 6 children born to John and Anna Katherine (BAKER) REITZ .  Elizabeth was born 20 Jan 1883 in Kukus, Russia and died 25 Jan 1954 in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.

George and Elizabeth (REITZ) HERGENRADER had the following children:

1.  Andreas (Andrew) “Andy” b.21 May 1902, Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan; d. 14 May 1975, Costa Mesa, Orange, California; m. Margaret HAAR.  There are no children recorded.


2.  Johannes (John) b. 18 March 1904, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska; d. 29 June 1978, Worland, Washakie, Wyoming; m. 29 November 1926, Bridgeport, Morrill, Nebraska to Eva BRILL.  They had one child.


3.  Katharina “Katie” b. 19 October 1906, Nebraska; d. 18 March 1916, Minatare, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.


4.  George b.1909, Nebraska; d. 1916, Minatare, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.


5. Amelia “Melia” b. 28 December 1911, Nebraska; d. 11 January 1913, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.


6.  John Peter “Pete” b. 18 March 1912, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska; d. 26 June 1999, Bakersfield, Kern, California; m. 1946 to Elinor McCULLOCH.  They had 2 children.


7.  Victor b. 15 October 1915; Hershey, Lincoln, Nebraska; d. 10 April 1995, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska; m. 15 May 1941 to Mary (Marie) JACOBS.  They had 2 children.

8.  Henry b. 23 March 1916, Nebraska; d. 23 October 1918, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.

9.  Marie b. 24 January 1918, Nebraska; d. 23 September 2005, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska; m. William SOMMER.  They had one child.

10.  Olinda “Linda” b. 17 November 1920, Nebraska; d. 13 April 2007, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska; m. Don HANSEN.  They had no children.
